Travel + Leisure brought the world to New York City with their Global Bazaar on September 28-30, 2012. The Bazaar gathered chefs, musicians and artisans from exotic destinations like Chile, Japan, Greece, Belize, India and many others.
But travel is more than just a destination, Travel + Leisure Editor Nancy Novogrod explained. ?The greatest joy in travel is having new experiences and seeing things you?ve never had before,? she said. She credits some of her favorite travel experiences as visiting the desert in Rajasthan, India and climbing the Atacama Desert plateau in Chile, among others. Calling herself a ?travel missionary,? Novogr0d truly believes everyone should travel if they have the means.

?Travel is the biggest change agent of all time,? she said. ?It opens your mind and your eyes. If more people traveled, there wouldn?t be as much hatred in the world because you see that other people are innately human. It rids you of preconceived notions.?
